Description:

My senior capstone project made with a team of 30. We were all Bradley University seniors who who started this game in August 2024 and finished in May 2025. You play as Thomas Sencher and 10 years ago your wife, Ruth, went missing. You discovered she went missing in the Devil's Strait deep in the bayou, a place rich with strange occurrences and folklore. You score a job working on a small shipping vessel with an experienced captain and venture to find your lost love. Unbeknownst to Thomas, the stories about the Devil's Strait are more than mere fairytales.

My Contributions:
  • Created creative documentation and maintained standards for easy navigation and clear communication

  • Used custom systems to set up pre-determined events and scenarios in-engine

  • Reviewed design, art, and audio work giving in-depth feedback with both critique and praise

  • Frequent online communication via text and voice channels for additional discussions and announcements

  • Attended all functional team meetings to assist in discussion and clear up miscommunications

  • Assembled team showcases showing off our team's work after each milestone submission to boost moral.

Post-Grad Work

After finishing the Gold Master milestone, over half the team is staying on the project to finalize the project with a number of bug fixes and publishing the game to Steam. Most of the work post-grad consisted of polish, bug fixes, and general small QoL improvements.

The team's size shrank throughout post-grad development so as a result I took on more and more in-engine work. This was a nice change of pace for me as I was wanting more work in-engine and I was able to more freely implement my improvements directly into the game.
